The 4th book of her "Death" series, J.D Robb doesn't disappoint.

Her main character, Eve Dallas is a great cop who is confronted with a series of bizarre deaths; in which the only obvious thing the dead have in common is that they all died with a smile on their faces. It is Dallas's job to piece together all the possibilities and discover what really happened.

You can always tell when a writer has done a thorough job of researching her topic. J.D. Robb is one of those you can count on. Add in all her wonderful and highly individual characters and you've got a book that's hard to put down.
