JD Robb (aka Nora Roberts) and the "In Death" series are truly fabulous series. The futuristic setting where you meet cop Eve Dallas and billionaire Roarke is simply amazing. A murder cop, Eve is facing a media hound in this book as well as trying to deal with her relationship with a fascinating man, ex-criminal Roarke. The relationship between these two grows throughout the stories and is truly entertaining.

The J. D. Robb series are among Nora Roberts' best books, and this is a fine example. Dallas investigates the murders of two prominent women, deliberately putting her own life on the line in the process. The culprit at the end is unexpected, but entirely believable, and (as always) the plot and characters are well written and at times suprisingly funny.
