The brilliant and quirky Alex Cross finds himself investigating a strange series of brutal murders faced with not one killer but two who appear to be working together. Tense edge of the seat stuff with plenty of twists and excitement . It keeps you going and is quite satisfying at the end.
This book was fantastic, edge of your seat, suspense thriller if ever there were one. Fiance and I were also pleasantly surprised to learn that the movie follows the the book quite closely being sure to incorporate all significant plot lines. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a quick and high interest read this is your book.
Of all of Patterson's "Cross" novels, this still remains my favorite. The premise was (at the time of writing) original and amazing. You could practically feel yourself there among the women trapped in Casanova's collection at times, and it was all in all a great book. The movie tried to be faithful to it, but 60-year-old Morgan Freeman as a thirtysomething Alex Cross just didn't cut it. Don't base your opinion of the book on that movie...trust me. This book is one you'll finish quickly and enjoy tremendously.
Awesome book about Detective Alex Cross in a hunt for a serial killer only this time he finds out that there are actually two of them, one more dangerous than the other. This is a fight for life as he finds out that his niece is one of the victims that has been kidnapped by these monsters. Definitely a must have for any James Patterson fan and a great one for your collection
This is one book that was hard to put down. The intrigue, the lies, the suspense. You wonder how someone can get away with this for so long. You try to envisage what it would be like to each of these girls. Then when they are found you cry with joy and happiness. This story has you thinking you are there. Great adaption into the movie.
