I was really looking foward to this book, as I'd read the books about Brenna and Garrick's children (Kristen in Hearts Aflame and Selig in Surrender My Love), and this was the book that rounds out the series about the Haardrad family. It was a great read, with excellent characters and a great plot that kept me interested the whole way through the book. Would highly recommend it, although Hearts Alfame remians my favourite of the series.

I'm sorry, but I'm just not quite sure about this one...the plot seemed to be a bit forced. The romance was just the same, it was great, it just seemed slightly too overdone, slightly too emotional, just slightly...too much. The sequel was better, but personally I thought this one just wasn't worth it. Also, Brenna was kind of too fierce and too gullible, qualities which I've never matched together.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read. Characters are strong, well developed. Great Plot. Its a heartwarming and entertaining story. There is a sequel to this one, Hearts Aflame which is just as good, if not better then Surrender My love after that but it isnt as good I felt. However than said I love the Viking series! but I would recommend it to anyone who likes Johanna Lindsey books. Its a wonderful, new, fresh story line!

Brenna and Garrick's is one of courage, love, attempted murder and friendship, Brennas fathers vows to wed his daugther breens to the vikings but is captured instead by the same vikings she was promised to. After bitter fights and feuds both there hearts capturered.

Brenna and Garrick's story is one of the best of Johanna Lindsey's early work. Followed by two others that are also great books, it is the story of a girl who is to wed a viking but is captured instead. What follows is a perfect story of love conqurering all as it is his heart that ends up capturered instead

Lady Brenna was told a marriage was being arranged to the vikings. So she learned their language and their customs to prepare for her new life, even though the didn't want to.

But when the vikings came from across the sea, there was no wedding. Instead, the vikings murdered her father and captured her people. Furious she vowed to kill their leader, and promised she would never be owned by them.

But then came Garrick Haadrad, one whose heart had turned cold because of the betrayal of his first love. As Brennas master he vowed he would tame her, but her spirit inflamed him, spirited him. Til' it seemed she had tamed him!

the first book in the viking trilogy, a colourful tale of a captive of war and her captor in the snowy viking homeland. can she love the man whos family killed her family, can she adapt to the cruel winter, can she overcome the cultural differences? This book is loads of fun to read and i couldn't wait to pick up the next two.

The very first Johanna Lindsay that I ever read and it still remains one of my favourites. The relationship between the two characters is enthralling as the fiesty, independent heroine (now forced to be a slave) clashes with the Viking who owns her and wants her for himself. This book is highly recommended for those who enjoy hisorical romances and love to see a strong man fall in love. I give it five stars.
