There's never been a better excuse to buy a new dress...or two. Shopaholic Ties the Knot The irresistible heroine of Confessions of a Shopaholic and Shopaholic Takes Manhattan is back!--in a hilarious tale of mothers and daughters, mothers and sons, and one blushing bride who just can't say no to saying "I do." Life has been good for Becky Bloomwood: She's become the best personal shopper at Barneys, she and her successful entrepreneurial boyfriend, Luke, are living happily in Manhattan's West Village, and her new next door neighbor is a fashion designer! But with her best friend, Suze, engaged, how can Becky fail to notice that her own ring finger is bare? Not that she's been thinking of marriage (or diamonds) or anything... Then Luke proposes! Bridal registries dance in Becky's head. Problem is, two other people are planning her wedding: Becky's overjoyed mother has been waiting forever to host a backyard wedding, with the bride resplendent in Mum's frilly old gown. While Luke's high-society mother is insisting on a glamorous, all-expenses-paid affair at the Plaza. Both weddings for the same day. And Becky can't seem to turn down either one. Can everyone's favorite shopaholic tie the knot before everything unravels? "From the Trade Paperback edition. About the Author Sophie Kinsella is a former financial journalist. Yay for the Shopaholic who gets her man! I just love reading the way Becky thinks. All the books in the Shopaholic series are at times laugh-out-loud funny, easy reads. Highly recommended as something to take away with you to the beach or on holiday - you can devour it quickly or pick it up/put it down, and have a smile on your face while reading!

Only Becky Bloomwood could accidently end up with two weddings booked on the same day in different countries. This series is absoultly hilarious, and I really enjoyed learning a little more about Luke's family. The problems that Becky gets into make you want to groan, yet the character still remains sympathetic. Becky is working as a personal shopper in this book, and has therefore found her calling in life.

Madeline Wickham writing as Sophie Kinsella. A light hearted and funny book, this was chick lit at it's best. The shopaholic series are the only chick lit I read and enjoy. Light and fluffy, but funny all the same, this is a great book for the beach, sunday morning in bed, and just generally any time you want a quick easy mindless read. Read the whole series!

this is great fun to read - I loved the proposal! Still get annoyed with Becky and want to yell at her sometimes but then she's also very loveable! Fantastic wee book.

I think this is my favourite of the series so far! While the shopping addiction is still well and alive in Miss Becky Bloomwood, it isn't that annoying this time round as there are much bigger issues to worry about than the shopping expenses! Becky can't make up her mind between the two weddings (on two different continents no less!), and just when you think she has things sorted out, it all falls apart again. It was quite morbidly fascinating to see things just escalate out of control in the book, it's like, you just want to scream - Becky, DON'T DO IT! I actually really enjoyed the ending - totally unbelievable, of course, but so fantastic and so sweet. It almost brought a tear to my eye, hee hee. This was a great fluffy read and I enjoyed it completely.

This is an absolute classic series - this being the funniest book yet. Becky thinks she has it all - a great guy, a great job, a great life - but TWO weddings! Arrgh whats a girl to do? She can't decide if she should cancel the dream wedding complete with fairytale theme or go with a simple home wedding at her parents house. I just love the fact she leaves everything to the last minute. A must read!!

This book is part of a series, the third I think, Shopaholic Ties the Knot is the first I have read.
The stories are about Becky Bloomfield
Shopaholic Ties the Knot is about Becky Bloomfield’s up coming wedding & all the usual and not so usual drama that unfolds leading up to the wedding. Becky has a small problem that just keeps getting bigger, Two wedding are being planned one by her dear mum and the other by her standoffish mother in law. The venue for wedding one, is the backyard of Becky’s family home in England. Mums in full control, photos are to be taken under the cherry tree , mums wedding dress has been pulled down from the attic & the neighbour has just finished a makeup course. Wedding to has been booked at the Plaza, NY. A professional wedding planner has organized a “sleeping beauty” theme flying in props from all over the globe, from a magic forest to doves. What to do …………..this was a funny story. I particulary like the corospondance received & sent by Becky throughout the story, it really added to the hilarity of the story.

Alexandra has sculpted the perfect replica of a Greek god and is about to display it to the women of her club when . . . you guessed it, the sculpture comes to life. Not only that, the model Greek god is really a Greek god. Darius is drop dead gorgeous [naturally] and Alexandra, who fell a little in love with her statue as she was creating it, now falls head over heels. Yes, I know, stereotypical, and so is the style of writing, but nevertheless it is a sweet book with its own particular charm. A fast and easy read, even if not up to McKnight’s other works.
