In order to remain part of the family, lauren promises to work for her uncle doing espionage with his greatest rival. Nick is a self made business man, who can't stand the man who is his closest rival. He hires Lauren unaware that she is the niece of the man he detests. This is not a great story. It is set in the 80's and is historically accurate for that time, however Nick amongst other things sexually harrasses Lauren. Keep to Judiths later contemporary novels, like Perfect, Paradise, Someone to Watch Over Me and Every Breath You Take. They are far superior.

One of Judith's older novels, but still worth the read. Nick is the CEO of Global Enterprises. Lauren becomes his secretary, but she is living a lie. Her secret could blow the trust that has been blossoming between Nick and herself, and destroy the promise of a life with the man she will love forever.... Well worth the read to see how far Judith has progressed!
