This story has a slightly different feeling from the other Dark-Hunter/Were-Hunter/Dream-Hunter novels. But, a complete winner. As per usual, the richness of the Hunter world makes the story spring to life. Sherrilyn Kenyon touches each of her novels with characters from another, which allows the reader to truly understand the world she has created. In "Unleash the night", Wren Tigarian works in the bar, Sanctuary. This bar is well known in the Hunter world, and run by Weres, it is a safe haven for all. Maggie is an average college student with a rich Daddy and far too many expectations laid upon her shoulders.
This is an unusual love story between these two that differs from Kenyons usual plot lines. I actually loved the way Wrens past was as important as the romance unfolding between him and Maggie. This book was fast faced, exciting, romantic and I loved it!
The 14th book in the Dark-hunter series this is by far my favorite! Sherri has struck gold yet again with this story featuring Wren (a were-hunter) and Maggie. Not one to be missed, and definitely one to be treasured. But i would not recommend this to be your first Dark-Hunter book or you might find yourself floundering, trying to understand the complex world the AG has created. see WWW.Dark-Hunter.com for more details
Stuck between many worlds he is the only of his kind. his memory of his father's death leaves him feeling unwanted. working at a bar where others like him hide he still feels he doesn't fit because people fear his wildness. vulnerable and yet strong he is a great character. I love the scene where he looks up through his hair you can see it in your head. The girl is not the poor little rich girl everyone thinks she is and her crowd has never really interested. Wren with his tender, beaten dog, side attracts her and draws her into a world she couldn't even dream of. great twist at the end. loved it.
Sherrilyn Kenyon is a genius! I absolutely loved this story about Wren (a Katagaria tiger and leopard mix) and Maggie (human ... with a twist). The plot was fabulous and as always with the Dark Hunter series the character's are so amazing. I simply could not put this book down. I would recommend reading the dark hunter novels in order but don't worry too much because they are great for a re-read in order anyways.
Wren's story. Just about broke my heart. I really related to Wren and Marguerite and Sherrilyn made me want them to get to their happy ending. I jsut love how the characters have their strength and vulnerabilities and how they work through their problems. I like how in all the books the main leads have help, that they don't have to struggle through their problems by themselves. I really like how Sherrilyn continues to tie in the rest of the dark hunter/were-hunter etc family.
One of my favourite Dark Hunter books. Wren Tigarian is a Were-hunter and a tiger and snow leopard mix to boot. He is a loner and has lived his life at sanctuary after being orphaned as a cub. Maggie is the daughter of a senator and feels herself drawn to this shy and withdrawn were. Her father however will do anything to keep them apart. It was good to see a few old familiar faces in this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. looking forward to the next Dark Hunter as always!!!
For me, this does seem to be the weakest book in the dark hunter series and found myself disappointed. This simply could have been due to the fact that I did read the books out of order and that I had just finished reading Night Play with Vane and Bridie. However in saying that, Sherrilyn once again dazzles us with her wit and her knack of a great story line. This series were the first paranormal romanes I had ever read and now I am hooked!!!
I have read all the Dark Hunter books by Sherrilyn Kenyon, great series and is best to read them in order but they can be read as stand alone books. This is one of my favorites. It is the latest Dark Hunter book by Sherrilyn. I really enjoy the chemistry between Wren and Maggie. Has a few twists and turns that I didn't expect.
Welcome to a new unusual hero who draws you into the world of the Were-Hunters. Experience the dark , feral animal world, dangerous but sensual with forbidden love. You will believe these creatures really do live among us. The twists of the plot will hold you to the end.
I enjoyed this new story and recomend it to you. Enjoy.
Unleash the Night is everything you would expect from a Kenyon novel – it is fun, witty, hot and very informative for those who love learning the little details of the Dark Hunter world (though she gives out no more clues than usual). As I was unable to put this book down once I had started I will have to give it a high recommendation to all romance lovers but will also recommend that you read the books in order to avoid spoilers and becoming confused. A must read book, enjoy!
