Destiny is a women, who as a child, was stolen by a vampire who abused her. As a refuge to save her sanity she made contact with the capathian Nicolae who trained her to become a hunter. Managing to kill her captor Destiny embarked to rid the world of the undead, running away from the man (Nicolae) she is attached and terrified of. But Nicolae is determined to help her and give her peace from the burning blood of the undead, to save the woman who is his lifemate.

I seriously loved this book. Turned by a vampire Destiny is a sort of Carpathian and has been tortured most of her life. her lifemate who she has connected with but fears because she doesn't believe that he isn't a vampire either so she runs. But a certain neighbourhood calls to her and makes her want to settle but that just gives Nicolae the chance to catch up with her. Because of their separation he taught her how to fight a big no no in carpathian society and everyone thinks he is crazy. one of my favourite from the entire series.

Just to clarify the above comment, this book contains the first female Carpathian VAMPIRE HUNTER, and let me tell you she is a definetly kick a** character! I would highly recommend this book for its wild, rolicing adventure filled with action, emotion and romance. It will keep you turning pages until the very end and then have you going back and reading it all over again. However, before you read this book it would be in your best intrest to read at least as far back as Dark Melody (more would be a bonus, say to the very beggining of the series?) as events in other books are not only mentioned here, they also have a big impact on the events in this book and not much information on them is given.
