– Customer review on 10/01/2008 I love this series (Desperate Duchesses). But I do feel you have to read them, this is the second book out and it's mainly centered around Poppy and Fletch, who after four years of marriage realize that their marriage isn't the love match they thought it was. It seems totally hopeless because Poppy isn't interested in sex AT ALL, but in the true spirit of romance it does get worked out, even I wasn't sure how Poppy could recover at first. I also enjoy the way the book is made up of a web of characters and their relationships and I like Jemma and Beaumont so I have to keep reading to see if they can find their way back together and I did have to check the last chapter to see if Villiers dies or not and that's saying something. I will admit that this style probably isn't for everyone and I did find that in places it was a bit slow (in regards to the concept of time in this book).
