– Customer review on 25/07/2008 This is the first book by Donna MacMeans and it's a very good effort. Emma Brimley escapes from her uncle who wants to sell her into marriage with a horrible old man. So she pretends to be a widow teacher but finds to her horror that she has to teach 'sex' education to the young women to prepare them for marriage. Emma has barely been kissed so has to go to the local scoundrel for some education of her own. But there is a price to pay.
This is a very light-hearted book that shouldn't be taken at all seriously. It's fun and sexy, with a very silly story line, but I liked it and look forward to MacMeans latest effort.
