'If you Desire" is the second book in the Kresley Cole's MacCarrick series, unfortunately is fails to live up to the expectations of the first and third book of the series.
It lacks the charm and interest that is so renowned in the Cole's series but is worth the read just to complete the series. Definitely must be a fan to read.
Hugh MacCarrick has loved Jane for more than ten years but he is cursed to live a love less life, so has been a government assassin for the last decade. Jane has loved Hugh for the same time but has not forgiven him for going off and leaving her. A threat from a rogue agent results in Hugh marrying Jane as a means to keep her safe from assassination. Hugh tries to stay away from Jane because he does not want her trappe3d in a marriage that can only bring heart break but Jane has other ideas. I didn't think much of the first book of this series but I really enjoyed this book. It is a great mix of romance and adventure. I think the business of the curse is weak, but apart from that it is a great read.
this is the 2nd book to the trilogy of the scottish brother. a second favourite of mine after the third series.
Hugh came back to protect Jane after her father request him to. Hugh been in love with Jane since they were young, however due to the curse that was put upon the family he avoided her and left for a few years. Their love is still strong after many years apart.
cole writing is original. for those who read A hunger like no other will know that this book will not disppoint you.
