In this lush conclusion to her seasonal series, "New York Times" bestselling author Lisa Kleypas takes readers back to Victorian London, where after spending three seasons searching for a husband, Daisy Bowman, the sole "Wallflower" yet to be married, finally meets her match. Original. From The Publisher: After spending three London seasons searching for a husband, Daisy Bowman's father has told her in no uncertain terms that she must find a husband. "Now." And if Daisy can't snare an appropriate suitor, she will marry the man he chooses-the ruthless and aloof Matthew Swift. Daisy is horrified. A Bowman never admits defeat, and she decides to do whatever it takes to marry someone . . . "anyone" . . . other than Matthew. But she doesn't count on Matthew's unexpected charm . . . or the blazing sensuality that soon flares beyond both their control. And Daisy discovers that the man she has always hated just might turn out to be the man of her dreams. But right at the moment of sweet surrender, a scandalous secret is uncovered . . . one that could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy's wildest fantasies. |

The Final book of the "Wallflower"series is really good, however the end is wound-up in the last two chapters out of 19. However, the sexual tension and attraction between Daisy and Matthew is strong and pulls you into the book. Lisa Kleypas writes a great book, that is what I would consider a 'light read'. Recommend this regency to all!

I would agree with all the other reviewers about this book. Not as strong as the others but at the same time, it concludes the series nicely. I would have liked Kleypas to have explored the relationship with Cam, who was introduced to Daisy in the previous 'Wallflower book'-hopefully, he will get his own book later.

This is a nice story and a good end to the series. It is a rather tame story when compared to a lot of other historical romaces, it didn't have many emotionaly charged scenes (other than towards the very end of the book), it was more of a feel good story. And it worked well that way.
The female lead character Daisy was absolutely charming and the book is worth reading for her alone. Her sister Lillian was a right pain though, which is probably the only negative thing I can say about this book.

Not the best of the romance books i have read but it certainly manage to get hooked in. I find the way Lisa Klepas writes holds you at arms length with the characters so you dont really get to feel for them. However in saying that the plot in this wee gem is sure to suck you in. I loved the bowling between mathew and Daisy. This was actually the first of the wall flower books ive read and you dont need to have read the others to understand this one. Its still a good read

The fourth book of the Wallflower series and is the story of Daisy Bowman and Matthew Swift. Definitely not as good as the first two books of the series but still worth the read if only to find out what happened to the last of the Wallflowers.
We get to meet characters from the previous books which is always good. The chemistry between Daisy and Matthew is a bit disappointing but the strong characters and the strong connection between Daisy and Lillian carries the story through.
