This book is one of my 'keepers'. It has everything I look for in a historical romance - sexy man, feisty heroine, action, decent story line, lots of emotional angst, and of course, passion. Sadly, in my view, Macgregor is moving away from this level of writing so make the most of this book and her other early books.

I love my romances, especially historical romances. Master of Desire has all that I could ask for in a historical romance, likeable leads, great detail, great sexual tension and a great plot laced with humour. I enjoyed reading this book and I'm looking forward to making my way through all her other books.

Just the book you need on a long rainy weekend, get lost in the past withthe vivid imagery and amusing storyline. Like starcrossed lovers from enemy families two people meet, learn about love and each other in an exciting historical romance with just a touch of spice and comedy. I got so involved in the story i couldn't put it down.

One thing this book is, is Erotic!
Kinley MacGregor once again weaves a fun, witty and very very sexy story and just for a change the heroine is trying to seduce the hero. While I thought that the story itself lacked depth, the characters were very entertaining and the sexual tension very high. An enjoyable read and what I would class a more "light" read!!

Unfortunately I read the second book "Claiming the Highlander" first, and found it much better than this one. However in this book, it was nice to see the heroine chasing the hero for once and reading about all her attempts and jests had me giggling alot throughout the book. The only downfall was I found this book lacked depth....realness, a quality I value in any good book. However, just because I didn't find it "GREAT", doesn't mean other's won't.
Also, Kinley MacGregor weaves a wonderful story right to the end, which was surprising and you came away satisfied.

This book is one that will have you reading it over and over again. The witty dialogue, hot love sceens and Medieval action will have you turning pages as fast as you can and begging for more. I highly recommend this book for all romance lovers, particularly for those who enjoy historical novels with fiesty heroines and tortured alpha heros. A must read!
