My absolute favourite book of this series. I have read this book so many times and refuse to sell on. This book makes you want to laugh out loud, cringe in horror and cry during the tough parts. This book I can highly recommend to any who want to read a terrific story.
Karen Marie Moning is one of my favourite authors and well worth paying money for. You wont be disapointed with this one.

A potent mix of magic, wit, and love. The enduring love of a woman for one different but very special man. I like how she painted the hero as a very strong, loyal and honourable man with some hang-ups and vulnerability. I mean, who would want a too perfect hero?!Surely i don't. There weren't as much love scenes as compared to Ms Moning's other books, but hey!am not complaining. The plot and story line is perfect and balanced. It's a book i won't get tired of reading.

An awesome story of one woman's love for a man that's so strong, NOTHING will stop her.....not even the fact that he is not quite human or the fact that he has rejected her love since she was a child. His love for her is so strong that he will not allow himself to claim her because he is a Berserker with no name, money, home or clan. Whose love is stronger? Who will surrender first??
A captivating love story with an a very moral story tucked inside.
This one will definitely be a keeper......

I'm working my way through the Highlander series and I'm just lapping it all up, especially since I started at the end and now I'm working my way back through the beginning. I like this story, its got all the makings of a good story, hunky male lead and a strong female lead. I like that the main characters have their flaws and vulnerabilities. This story made for an enjoyable read which I have added to my collection.

I LIKE! Although this book does not have as intense love sceens as Karen Marie Moning's most recent works, this book still has it's fair share. It also manages to tell a unique tale of a Berserker (who seem to be a different race? species? from humans) and the woman who loves and is loved by him. The plot centers around the Berserker blood (for want opf a better word) and the exile that the hero imposes on himself for carrying it. Enter Jillian, the heroine who has always loved him and who has decided that if she has to marry then it might as well be him.

What follows is a wonderful adventure full of wit, romance and magic which will not let you put it down and will make this book a definite keeper.
