if you are familiar with Ms Cole's writing then you know that the book is no different to her other books except that its a historical romance. ethan is a character that you will instantly fall in love with and madeline will have you crack a smile. both are made for each other. with the cursed (as mention in the first series) being lifted, it was hardly mention and so go on to the complication between two characters. it was hard to put down and i found my self being sad that the story ended. re read a couple of times and will always be one of my favourite.
so in my opinion i really love it. i guess you have to read it to find if you like it or not.

Kresley Cole is one of my favourite authors and unfortunately in my opinion has written limited books to read in her historical series and also in the Immortals After Dark.

This was the third book in the series and the most enjoyable, the characters of Ethan MacCarrick and Madelaine are well written an entwine nicely in a fast moving plot.

Ethan MacCarrick was a heartless, handsome rake who went an affair too far, and was caught by a jealous husband. The result was that he was horribly beaten and scarred. Ever since he has avoided women and has become even more heartless. But one evening he spies a young woman who attracts him in a way that he has not felt in years. She too feels it but it turns out that she is the daughter of the man who ruined his life. When he sets out to get his revenge, he finds the table is turned and he is challenged by Madelaine van Rowen to review his life. This is the third of the MacCarrick series. I enjoyed it because I loved both the main characters and it started out very sexy. But somewhere along the line, the story got a little lost so lost me a little. A good read none the less.

A really enjoyable book with mixed emotions. This is a particular favourite of mine. Ms cole draw out both characters perfectly. It might seem slow at first but towards the end it get hotter as Ethan found out that the person who does not turn away in disgust was his enemy of the past.
A keeper in my shelf.
