– Customer review on 29/01/2006 I found Ashley's offering to be a refreshing change from the run-of-the-mill paranormal romance (if their is such a thing), that being said I believe the story had some great potential which the author failed to achieve. Kenyon's story was absolutely wonderful (and the reason I bought the book) it lived up to my hopes with its warm, witty and action-filled plot which left me begging for more, even if it did come to a satisfactory conclusion. Shayne's contribution I found to be strange at the best and down right minimum standard at the worst, while she manages to write amazing vampires, to me it seems that this story (about wicca) just really wasn't up to par with her other work. Finally Thompson gave us a werewolf romance with enough difference to make it original and so well written as to have me going back and reading it again. In all, for me this book lived up to half of its potential, both Kenyon and Thompson were marvelous but the others just didn't make it to the same standard. Better borrow this one from the library unless you're a collector like I am.
