I have mixed feelings about this one. I found this to be a good book and couldn’t put it down. But it was quite depressing and you'll find a lot of people die. It’s a story of a miners daughter, Evelyne, they are poor and lose a number of family members due to a curse a gypsy put on her father. Evelyne receives a legacy and thought that this would be the start of a new life but turns out the legacy brought a lot of heartache. She marries a gypsy who ends up……. Well I will stop there otherwise I will give it all away. There will be no happy ending and the saga continues with the next book the ‘The Talisman’, where I’m sure will be more sadness and death. Don’t get me wrong, Lynda is a good storyteller and shows this with ‘The Legacy’. I will have to read ‘The Talisman’ to see how it all turns out.
