Science fiction for people who don't like science fiction...

The Host is Stephanie Meyers first adult novel, and you won't be able to put it down whether you're a newcomer or a dedicated Twilight fan. It tells the story of an unbelievable love triangle (or square...) in the midst of an 'alien' invasion. The Host is an amazing book and I was absolutely enthralled from beginning to end.

If you enjoyed the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse) you will LOVE the Host. It is intended for an older audience, and the plot is more complicated than the teen-hit Twilight.
There are so many things I could comment on, fabulous characters, intriguing plot, fantastic writing full stop.
The Host has become my favourite book and I am so glad I bought it.

This is such a great book! I would recommend it to anyone thinking of something new and fresh to read! I was so hooked on it and was up well into the night not wanting to put it down. I would recommend it to anyone maybe 13+. Well worth the price!

i really enjoyed reading this book,at the start i struggled to get into the storry plot/outline but when i did i couldnt put it down i read to early morning hours like 5am just to finish it and find out what happend next.But its no competion for the twilight saga which if you enjoyed i recommend you read this novel its close to a twilight theme.

Another great story from Stephenie Meyer. At first I was abit wary about a story involving aliens, but its told in a very human way. Even when the character of Wanda is describing the other planets she's been to they are creatures taken out of our everyday, not some sci-fi monsters, which as a non sci-fi reader I could relate to more. The jacket tells of a love triangle, its more of a square involving 3 bodies. You can't help but to feel for each character - Wanda, Melanie, Jared & Ian & wanting them to get the one they loved. I could not put this book down. It stuck in my head till I finished it. The only thing missing for me was more dialouge from Melanie.
