Terry Pratchett deals up a great novel full of laughter and interesting plot-twists. Thought you liked elves? Maybe not for too much longer after you read about these ones! No pretty Tolkien beauties full of love and happiness here - these elves mean business and it is up to the witches to stop them!

You know about elves, right? Elves are beautiful, wise and noble. Highly cultured, right? Dead wrong! Elves are evil and wicked and must be stopped at all costs. Luckily, Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Margrat Garlick are there to put things right. Apparently, there's a few references to Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" but I didn't spot them, mostly because I've never bothered to read it. And I still had a great time with this book! And remember, elves are evil! Tolkien has a lot to answer for...

Another winner from Pratchett. You'll never think the same of fairies and elves once you read this book. The book is located in Lancre with all the Lancre witches and it's up to them to save the humankind from the evil plots of fairies. And Magrat and Verence are about to be married with Magrat becoming a Queen. Highly recommended.
