An amazing mish-mash of almost too many ideas, "Snow Crash" is an outstanding piece of science fiction that combines elements of cyperpunk, updated for a modern age. Stephenson's future world is somewhat over-the-top, although when viewed as a response of current capitalist trends becomes quite believable and bittingly relevant. A dog's breakfast fit for a king.
