brilliant book,
karins writing paints a morbid yet detailed picture of brutely rapes and murders by a man who crucifys his female victum.
coroner sara, along with her ex-husband (the grant county police chief) spend their time in this book following this rapist.
horribly amazing.
all round good read
The coroner and pediatrician in a small town performs the autopsy on the brutally murdered body of a college professor. Her ex husband is leading the investigation into the murder but the one person who holds the keys to the crime is the coroner herself even if she doesn't yet realise it. Compelling with good characters.
This book is well written and the characters are endearing. The plot is good but sometimes it's a little too gruesome. It feels like some of the scenes are in there for shock value rather than for story value, and that makes me uncomfortable. There aren't many light hearted moments in this books and at one point it seems as though every character is obsessed with rape. A dark book where the gore masks some obvious style short comings.
