Quite an interesting book which anyone interested in submarine warfare will find enjoyable to read. A bit unbelievable at times, though - that one single submarine, the USS Cheyenne, would take on such a huge role, pretty much taking on the whole PRC Navy while the rest of the U.S. Navy is not in the arena. But it does a good job presenting the intricacies of submarine warfare.

Tom Clancy is thought of by many the worlds’ leading action writer- and he certainly lives up to this! His books, although not as fast paced as those of Matthew Reilly, are engrossing, complex thrill rides. At times some of the introductions can be a little drawn out, but then, that’s what skim reading is for. The audio books make good listening and the video games are even more action!
