This book presents a compelling argument for the intervention of something "other" in the history of mankind. Travelling the globe and telling us adventure stories of sneaking on to the pyramids along the way, Hancock demonstrates some mysteries for which there are no good answers, such as a map of the real coastlike of Antarctica existing in the 1600s and lake Titicaca appearing to have tipped on its side. I learned a suprising amount about astronomy from this book, too.

If half of what this book says is true we could be in serious trouble in the very near future, but even if it isn;t this is an interesting, well thought out and well-researched hypotehsis contained in an entertaining book.
