A magical story about a young boy and his pet goldfish and what happens when he feeds his fish too much, against Mr Carp's (the pet store shop assistant) advice, I read this to my 3 year and he loves it. A heart warming story which mother and son both enjoy.

Mr Carp at the pet shop advises the young boy to feed his new fish, Otto, 'so much and no more, never more than a spot' or 'something might happen, you never know what!'. Unfortunately the boy doesn't listen and poor Otto outgrows his fishbowl, a saucepan, the bathtub and eventually the local swimming pool. Eventually Mr Carp is called in to save the day, but the young boy learns that sometimes rules are in place for a reason. Lots of fun and published under the 'Dr Seuss beginner books' umbrella.
