Amazing and unfortunately true account of the events at Auschwitz. Definitely recommend, need to remember what happened to a these families. Extremely powerful
I have read a lot of books about WW2 including the most harrowing one of all - "Hitler's Willing Executioneers". However never one specifically about Auschwitz.
My first reaction was what a courageous woman - one who deserved to survive, not that others didn't. To have had the strength to kill a guard at the end as well as the imiganition and intelligence to get herself out of a lot of tricky situations was truly amazing.
One can only be grateful for such a memorable eyewitness account.
