Prof. Dr. P.K. (Pawan Kumar) Gupta (BVSc & AH, MVSc, PhD, Hon DSc) obtained his PhD in Toxicology and taught as Visiting Professor at both the University of Tennessee and West Virginia University before returning to India as Professor of Toxicology at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute. He is currently Director of the Toxicology Consulting Group and President of the Academy of Sciences for Animal Welfare. He has served as advisor to the World Health Organization, consultant to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, and brings more than 50 years of expertise in animal toxicology to the project. He has authored/co-authored more than 10 books, including Elsevier’s Fundamentals of Toxicology (2016), Illustrated Toxicology (2018), and Fundamentals of Nanotoxicology (2022).
