About the Author

Martyn Hesford was BAFTA-nominated for his acclaimed BBC4 television screenplay, Fantabulosa!, starring Michael Sheen, which chronicled the life of English comedian and actor Kenneth Williams. Other award-winning work includes screenplays A Small Mourning starring Alison Steadman, which won the Radio Times Drama Award, Brazen Hussies starring Julie Walters and Robert Lindsay, Nicholas Nickleby (ITV1), Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (Sky Movies) and The Old Curiosity Shop (ITV1). Martyn was shortlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for his play Mothers Day (Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester).
