Don't buy this book expecting to learn about fighting, or most especially about Zen! The most important thing about this book is not to take it seriously in any way whatsoever. If you had any doubts about this, you will quickly be enlightened by the Manliness Quiz in the front of the book. If you score high, you are encouraged to read the book.
This book is a great and entertaining read. Whether or not you've heard of Forrest Griffin, a popular and famous fighter in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), you're sure to enjoy this book.
A combination of Griffin's history, an insight into his personality and brand of humour, ancedotes and stories by him and his friends, a test on how 'manly' you are and tips on how to increase your manliness if you don't quite measure up, tips and advice on training and competing in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and more with plenty of humour throughout.
I laughed out loud numerous times while reading this book which rarely happens.
I truly look forward to reading his next book 'Be Ready When The Sh*t Goes Down' if it's anything like this book.
