While this book seemed a little tedious to read at times because of it's tendency to 'state the obvious' I really found it useful for improving my study skills and restoring confidence in my ability to study at a tertiary level. Marshall and Rowland have written a book which is easy to read and understand and provides alot of useful tips, which if applied, can vastly imrpvoe ones attitude to themselves and study. When read in conjunction with A Learning Companion (also by Marshall) I learnt valuable skills that I am still applying to this day.
