Hairy mclary has been around since i was a child and now here i am reading it to my own. I read it to my daughter when she was little (now 13 y.o) and my son who is now 7. That says something - hairy mclary has stood the test of time and come out the other side still as popular as ever.

This Hairy Maclary story is fantastic for children. The language has a beautiful rhythm combined with basic repetition that keeps young ones interested in Maclary's adventures. Combined with the vivid illustrations, this book is definitely one to add to your childs library. I definitey recommend this one!

This had to be one of my favourite books as a child. I bought it for my daughter and i hope that it will be one of her favourite books too. I've already read it to her a few times and she seems to love it because it has a dog in it.

My 3 month old son loves this book! Great repetition and ryhme. Fully reccomend. Slinky Malinky is also a wicked book.

Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy is an awesome childrens book. My daughter loves Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy and all the other books that Lynley Dodd has written. Every time she see's a Lynley Dodd book (Hairy Maclary) it has to be read to her about four or five times. I have all of these as board books and everyday you can guarantee she will have them out. Although this is her favourite and can never seem to find it as a board book so we have to watch she doesn't rip it.
Lynley Dodd has got to be one of the best children's book writers out!
