This is a lovely, homely-style book, with lots of ideas - but if you're looking for something a bit different, this isn't the book for you. I bought this title on the strength of reviews on other websites :), and was expecting the world! What I found was a beautifully presented and photographed, beginner-type book. It would be good for a crafty child or teenager, rather than skilled arty-type. Nothing new here.

another wonderful book from amanda, we have her "creative family" book and couldn't wait to get this one. It is filled with wonderful and practical projects to create with and for your loved ones. projects are arranged carefully with lists of what you need, and what you can recycle, as well as whether it is suitable for little ones to help, and also estimated time to do the project. the book itself has a wonderful visual charm, and is one of those that you love to flip through even if you don't get around to a project for a while. It put a smile on my dial just to flip through and i will savor having the time to make a few of the most appealing projects. I particularly love those that the children have drawn on- family portrait bookmarks especially. a great gift to make.

I love this book. There are a lot of simple to complete projects which are also great ideas. It is wonderful for the inexperienced crafter and beautiful to look at. I'll be using this not only for myself but as a resource for handmade gifts. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Just wondering why there is a customer review from someone who hasn't even seen/read the book? Odd!

I don;t won this, yet, but i would love to, it just sounds amazing.
"Filled with 33 projects made by reusing and repurposing materials--from vintage feedsacks to old sheets and towels--and including some projects that children can help with, all of the items here offer a practical use in the home."
The description just makes it sound even better.
Can;t wait to grab my hands on this one.
