fifth book. Once again another magical adventure into the world of Harry Potter written by J.K Rowling. In this book we learn more about the group Order of the Phoenix. Last formed to combat Voldemort and his followers. Harry and his friends learn new things at Hogwarts and have to deal with an increasingly overbearing and interefering Ministry of Magic.

Fantastic book, gone is Harry the hero, and teen angst is at its peak. It is great to see the development of Hermione and Ron into real characters too, not just Harry, and all will enjoy the Neville sequences in this book. For Dobby fans, he comes back to save the day (a little bit anyway), and the time spent at the Ministry of Magic is magnificent. Lots of curly bits and a throughly impressive piece of writing

The Order of the Phoenix is the darkest book so far. Harry is angry; and misunderstood by Dumbledore. It is the most confusing and DEFINATELY the longest!! I think that JK Rowling was keen to show the readers that Dumbledore is not perfect, just very wise. This is portrayed well. I think Harry made many mistakes as well, not just Dumbledore but JK Rowling had to allow him to learn, and mistakes are the best way to learn. Once Sirius had died, I knew Dumbledore had to be next, because all the people close and helpful to harry have to go if he is going to defeat Voldemort once and for all which i hope he does.

an incredible 5th installment of the harry potter series - and it definitely doesnt let anyone down! this book is full of action, thrill, suspense and jaw-dropping premise, all packed in with the usual humour that j.k rowling always supplies. a fantasmic book, a literally UNMISSABLE for any harry potter fan. the books are always more detailed and better than the movies, so dont be lazy, watching the movie isnt enough to grasp the wonder that is harry potter. pick up the book, and read it before the movie comes out!!!!

One of the best books of the series as we learn of the secret societies and places of the unknown, making a mysterious brew of action and drama with droplets of comedy as you pour through pages full of wonder. An excellent book, one of the best, very good ideas, not just for children or fantasy readers, but for all, something for everyone.

Okay, I have to admit, the first time I read this book I was disappointed. It has since come to grow on me, but I still understand why I had those sentiments in the first place. To put it shortly, Harry is a git in this one. It is hard to cheer for a hero for whom nothing but contempt can be felt, or even feel sorry for him. That on top of the unexpected death of a beloved character were enough to bring this to the lowest place on the 'love of Harry Potter books' scale. Still, it's Harry Potter, and deserves a place among the rest.

Another great book from the series. i would recommend this book to those that have read the previos books. Harry Potter books are an awsome series and are filled with excitment and mysteries from begining to end. all worth the read and so hard to put down. The price is nothing compared to the enjoyment that you will get from reading this book. You definately want to purchase this book as you will be missing out if you dont!

'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' marks a change in the series - this is when the characters start growing up, coming to terms with all the things that children have to deal with when they're starting to mature. It is also a wonderful next instalment in the hugely successful Harry Potter series by J K Rowling. Although not my favourite book of the series, it is an integral part of the overall and shouldn't be missed.
