I bought this book on a whim because it had a cute cover. I have most certainly NOT regretted this buy! He Loves Lucy is one of the very few books that made me laugh out loud. The characters were wonderful, hilarious and you couldn't help but root for Lucy to get everything she wants. A real-world romance with a could-neve…-real-life plot, witty one-liners and wonderful little twists and turns. I couldn't put this book down, and have since bought the rest of Susan Donovan's books. 10 out of 10! Light, but brilliant!

This was the first Susan Donovan book I ever picked up (and it definitely isn't the last), and I truly believe it has been on of the absolute best out of the Little Black Dress series. This is what I think all woman want, a man who love's you even when he's seen you at your absolute worst, yet he guides and encourages you back in the right direction and stands by you even if you kick and scream and act like an bratty kid. Theo is, I think my ideal man, lol, too bad he's only alive on paper! If I found a man like Theo I'd snap him up (faults and all) and never let go, he's just that wonderful. I can't recommend this book enough! If you want an absolutely hilarious read with adorably endearing characters this is definitely the book for you!

He loves Lucy really struck a heart cord with me personally- I can see the lucy in myself and i can relate to alot ofthe script. This was such a superbly written book by susan. it was a joy to read. It made me cry, self examine and evaluate, laugh and fall desperately in love with the characters. Susan takes and writes not only about the worst attributed in people, but she writes and incorporates the best as well. Loved this book- give it a go - its well worth the lazy afternoon.

Ms. Donavan is an author that I pick up the second she has a release! She always manages to combine sensetive issues with great characters. The end result...the reader experiences an emotional read that will linger long after the final page.

Lucy is an overweight lady who has never really gotten over a college incident. As a result she hids behind her looks. That is until a PR stunt forces Lucy to take a good hard look at herself. It also brings her into the sphere of trainer Theo Redmond. It's love at first sight for Lucy...but will her feeling ever be returned?

Theo may have the looks that mean success, but his heart is frozen. Life has been hard and he works jsut as hard to keep his demons at bay. That is until a funny, sweet lady stumbles into his world. He takes one look at Lucy and realizes his life is about to change...and for the better...if he lets it. Will these two special people finally find a happy ending?

Theo and Lucy are a wonderful couple! Although this read is not as steamy as some of her previous attempts...this in no way diminishes the story between these two hurt people. Secondary characters are a wonderful addition to the story and actually help move things along. I truly have no trouble recommend Ms. Donovan and you should add her to your summer reading list.
