About the Author
Allen Carr was an accountant who smoked 100 cigarettes a day until he broke the habit and wrote a series of bestselling books. ..this book is great..it gets away from conventional thinking which is great if you look at the state of modern society and health..get a new way of thinking...dont get stuck in a rut..remember..the defintion of insanity is to do the same thing over expecting different results
I finished reading this book today, but its effects have already taken effect: I lost 10 pounds in 2 months. But the most important thing about the book is the way concepts are assimilated and you can really FEEL the changes inside. I think this is just the beginning of a healthy way of eating for years to come. Losing weight will just be one consequence. I had read Fit for Life in the 80's and Allen Carr's book transmits a similar concept, in a different way. I strongly recommend this book even if you are not overweight, for you and your family, specially if you are a parent.
contrary to the last person, i found that this book made me gain weight. i mean what good is a book if it is meant to make you loose weight and it doesn't. and the after taste is horrible. they could have at least have made it cherry flavor or something. I would not recommend this book. don't waste your money but go buy a hamburger instead.
