Excellent book. Shows readers how to draft a skirt pattern (easier than you think!) and sew it up. Several different styles, but the basics, including tiered, a-line, straight and wrap around are all covered. Someone with little or no sewing knowledge can follow this book. Also great for those that don't fit easily into commercially made patterns/ready made clothes, as you are drafting patterns to fit your own individual body size.
Great! This book gave me permission to do what I always thought I could, make my own clothes without commercial patterns. This is what I wish my mother had told me, I have spent too long dealing with tissue paper!
I am just start to grow interest in sewing but I think this book is just what I wanted. The steps are so simple and the variety of skirts showed making this book so worthwhile (for this price) to have for a beginner like me. You can forget about the pattern making and start making your skirt right away!
