This book has some great practical advice, in particular about the health of the baby and milestones. It is a very useful book for a first time parent. However i was suprised that a section about controlled crying was included, i thought this practise was out of date.

This book was almost worn out with baby number 1, and then regularly re-visited when number 2 came along to refresh my memory about various bits & pieces. An invaluable, reassuring resource that recognises that not everything is smooth sailing when you're a new parent, but also that not everything is cause for panic or a trip to the emergency room! Common sense and down-to-earth info.

What a great book! The information is Australian based and is generally presented in a laid back non-alarmist style. A great resource in helping new parents to understand the things their bubs do, and the things that happen to them. You won't agree with all the advice, which is true of any 'how to' baby book, but I've found it to be an invaluable tool.
