After experiencing quite a down period in my life, I was visiting a bookstore and saw this brightly coloured book on the shelf looking out and me, and so on a impluse I took it and brought it. Basically this book helps you to explore what areas in your life are causing you pain and ways of addressing them. They actually encourage you to find your innner child and experience the feelings, so that you move on. I have gotten alot out of this book.
This book provides a valuable introduction to the notion of schema therapy, in everyday language. The self rated scales provide immediate feedback to the reader and guide them in choosing issues to explore and work on. This book may best be used in conjunction with therapy, because engaging with material in the book may raise intense emotional reactions which can be diffilcut to face alone.
