About the Author

Lisa Miller is currently the Religion editor for Newsweek. She has a regular column and often front page features in the magazine and on Newsweek.com and writes articles on a broad range of religion-related subjects. During the 2008 presidential campaign, she interviewed President Barack Obama about his faith and her December 2008 cover story "Our Mutual Joy," about gay marriage, won numerous prizes including the Wilbur Award for outstanding magazine article. Formerly a senior special writer covering religion for the Wall Street Journal's front page, she began her professional journalism career at the Harvard Business Review. She has launched "OnFaith," an online blog attached to the Washington Post website about religion and faith. She has also worked for the Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, and Self magazine.
