A brilliantly witty and entertaining guide to interpreting men from a writer and a consultant of Sex and the City, which has become a publishing sensation in the US. A no-holds-barred decoder of male behaviour, this book isn't just about eliminating the bad apples -- it's also about holding onto the good ones. Content: / This hilarious, playful, but honest explanation of male behaviour from a writer and a consultant of Sex and the City, is designed to stop women wasting their time chasing after men who aren't into them, and help them to move on and find men who really are. / The line, 'He's just not that into you', was developed out of a conversation between Greg Behrendt and his fellow female SATC writers when they asked his advice one day. It became an episode which struck a powerful chord with viewers. / The wisdom of the book can be summed up by the following: men don't want to tell women when they're not interested and women don't want to hear it anyway. / Upfront and forthright, the book explains why the man you're waiting for might not be worth the wait or all your excuses. / The book's positive message: It happens to the most beautiful, funny, interesting and intelligent women - it just means that it's time to say 'Next!'

Reviews

Adult/High School-With a bright, breezy style, the authors highlight a list of actions that men take to demonstrate that they are "just not into you," using "Dear Greg" letters and replies, unscientific polls of men, lists reviewing the key points in each chapter, a comic glossary, and laugh-out-loud workbook assignments. Although this book is meant for the 20-plus career women who have been dating for a while, the empowering message that a woman deserves a man who truly loves her and not one that she must constantly make excuses for can't be learned too early.-Jane S. Drabkin, Chinn Park Regional Library, Woodbridge, VA Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.

Reviews: 'Owning He's Just Not That Into You has the snob cachet of striding down Park Avenue with a Hermes Birkin bag dangling from one's shoulder...The publishing sensation of the year.' The Daily Telegraph 'Copies of He's Just Not That Into You have become more difficult to find in America than an honest boyfriend.' The Sunday Times 'This book should be on every single woman's nightstand!...Six words to change your life forever.' Oprah Winfrey

5 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 30/11/2011

He's just not that into you, changed my perspective on guys completely. As i read through the book I laughed at the fact that I related to most of the women who were 'writing in'(they were made up letters with general scenarios that most people could relate to). I was in the middle of dealing with a messy break, my boyfriend cheated but I was still torn between going back and moving on. After I read the chapter on cheating especially The "he's got no excuse and he knows it" excuse, I knew what I had to do. The next time he txted because he "missed me and wanted to hang out" (which Greg adresses in the book)I said no. I broke off all contact and haven't looked back. If your the girl who has everyone telling you to ditch your boyfriend but you just cant bring yourself to do it because you don't know if there's anyone better out there, read this book and then decide.

5 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 27/10/2009

'He’s Just Not That Into You' by Greg Behrendt is a self-help book that intends to educate girls of how to tell when a guy just isn’t into them, while reminding their readers how smart, valuable, worthy, and gorgeous they are. The book advises girls to cut their losses with such men and find somebody that will appreciate you better. Behrendt states that if a man really likes you, he'll chase you and call you no matter, and will make the time to see you, despite how busy he is. Men are cowards, Behrendt states, and would never verbally admit that they are not into you. This book is a must and is strongly recommended!

5 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 07/07/2008

This book was a godsend for me when I was going through an unexpected breakup with a boyfriend awhile back. Since then, a few of my friends have borrowed the book and it has helped them too! This book looks at every pathetic, simpering and humorous bit of breaking up, from constantly checking your cellphone to see if it has broken and THAT'S the reason its not ringing, to going out and buying too much chocolate ice cream to try and bury your grief with fat. Very funny, this book somehow manages to make you laugh even as you're sniffing back tears.
There are "Real-Life" stories from people, chapters on dealing with different aspects of breaking up, view-points from both the male and female perspective and dealing with things like depression. This is a book that helps you get through a breakup, makes you feel less alone. LOVE it.

4 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 14/01/2007

A very entertaining book, especially if you're at that stage where you wonder where all the good men have gone. I did wonder if it only applied to a certain type of man, though, as in a man who likes to play games. These men are not worth attracting so one wonders why you would go to the effort in the first place. The "Dear Abby" approach makes this a fun read.
