A very well known and informative book. Alot of questions came through my mind when reading this, it is a very interesting book. I reccomend that anybody reads this book, it has some really good points made in it. Anybody interested at all in the subject, should go out and buy this book.

Totally disagree with #2 - wonderful book, real insight from someone who knows the terrain and writes with real understanding and a balanced perspective on the three Abrahamic religions. Read her memoir "The Spiral Staircase" to understand where she has come from and to appreciate that there is nothing simple about her understanding of God.

i disagree with the what the person below me said. i actually dont think that there is much to this book at all, just the usual religious ramblings taht try to simplify this thing of god. but what the authors , including karen,. fail to realise is that you cant simplify god, as god is all incompassing and therefore acannot be simplified. the paradoxic mind games, do confuse us all, but they are not to be pardon in relation to religion.
