This book deals with, perhaps, a more 'traditional' approach to using polymer clay for sculpture. The characters in it are amusing, the directions chatty - more like a sitting over the table tutorial than an instruction book in many ways.
Most of the characters aren't heavily detailed, going more for a minimalistic approach which concentrates of using detail where people will notice (hands for example) rather than creating a lifelike sculpture.
For beginners, this is actually an advantage as it helps stop the dreaded 'but the ear isn't perfect' hangup a lot of instructional books encourage.
This book is perfect for young and old , people who have a passion for art and need to express them selves a start into the world of make beleave and charators a great start a great book.
