About the Author

The late Dr Roger G. Green was Chief Scientist (Psychology) at the DERA Centre for the Human Sciences, Farnborough, UK. He was also Chairman of the Air Safety Working Party of the European Transport Safety Council; Professor H. Muir is Head of the Human Factors Group the College of Aeronautics, Cranfield University, UK; M. James is Senior Psychologist, Psychological Sciences Department of the DERA Centre for the Human Sciences, Farnborough, UK; Dr D. Gradwell is Head of Altitude Research a the RAF Institute of Aviation Medicine at Farnborough, UK; Dr R.L. Green is Consultant in Aviation Medicine to the UK Civil Aviation Authority and British Airways.
