I work in the mental health field and bought this book in particular b/c of references to positive thinking (cognitive behavioral therapy element) about your self, others and life in general. Although the book's audience is for children, it doesn't hurt to read it to adults sometimes. Furthermore, in relation to the reference it makes to "God" on a couple of pages (as per review posted on 12/05/2011), I think it is controversial only because as society has progressed we have lost what it means to believe in something other then what we can see, touch, smell, hear and taste! Be creative and change the word "God" to something else more inline with your personal belief systems and values. As an idea: #6 can be read as "Mum, Dad, Brother, Family". #9 can be read as "Love, Our Hearts, etc". In addition to this, Dyer does explore the "God" word in his questions section to include church, place of worship or nature and asks children (and adults) to think about where they feel a mysterious love that connects us! I think that this is a great way to begin a dialogue with children (and evidently adults too).
Thanks

Another fine book by Wayne Dyer. A must for the classroom in every school.
These books on positive thinking should become part of curriculum at every school in the country.
Positive thinking can change people's lives, just think of the possibilities if our children learn this early in life.
To learn to just know you can manifest anything in your life with positive thinking opens up a realm that blows my mind.
I hope many many parents decide to try these books and change their children's future for the good.

This is a lovely book, with beautiful illustrations and sound advice for children. Whilst aimed at the younger age group, children up to 13 would still benefit reading this with their parents. Another winner by Dr Wayne, with questions at the end of the book to stimulate discussion with your children.

I am a huge wayne dyer fan, and when the kids books came out I just had to buy! My 7 yr old loves reading his words of wisdom and encouragement! Good book to help build confidence in young children and teaches them how special they and everyone else is! Good with "Unstoppable Me".

Hi Fishpond Team
You sent me this book twice. I think the first copy arrived from UK then a few days later a second copy arrived from Australia. When I called you I was told you do not 'do customer service over the phone.' A little disappointing. I have returned the book to Australia and trust I have not been charged twice.
Kind Regards
Teresa
PS Re Rating - I was disappointed to discover several pages mentioned God - I would not have purchased this title if I had known it contained a religious element
