Angela Bartie is a lecturer in history and oral history in the department of humanities and social sciences at the University of Strathclyde. She is the author of The Edinburgh Festivals: Culture and Society in Post-War Britain. Eleanor Bell is Leverhulme post-doctoral fellow in Scottish and Irish literature and culture in the department of English studies at the University of Strathclyde. She is co-editor of Scotland in Theory: Reflections on Scottish Literature and Culture.
