Good book about the 1996 Everest tragedy that killed 8 climbers. Its biggest selling point is that it was written by Jon Krakauer who was climbing on that day, so its a first hand account, not re told through someone else. The down point is the unfair blame put againt Anatoli Boukreev. The man saved 3 lives and Krakauer somehow tries to blame him for some of what happened. Worthwhile reading along with Boukreev's book 'The Climb' to gain 2 independant accounts.
