About the Author

Anil Bhatti is Professor of German, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His areas of research concern questions of literature, colonialism and Orientalism with special reference to India, Germany and Europe. Johannes H. Voigt retired in 1995 as Professor of History, University of Stuttgart. He is presently working on the relations between Germany and India since the Second World War.
