My two kids haven't put these books down since I purchased them! Judy Blume's humour shines through in this classic series about a little boy called Fudge and his brother Peter and all the antics that Fudge gets up too! The turtle incident was a particularly amusing moment in our house. At night I listen to my kids reading this book set to each other and giggling their heads off! I love it.
All of the books are wonderful in this likable series about a little boy who seems to get into a lot of trouble. The whole family play main parts, and equally add to the story, as does the conceited Sheila Tubman who remains terrified of dogs, particularly Fudge's older brother Peter's dog, Turtle. A fun read that should amuse adults and children alike.
I remember having these read to us in primary school. I loved them so much that I started looking for them as gifts for my 10yo son. He didn't enjoy them as much as I did when I was a kid but I still recommend them for their good, clean fun, timelessness and excellent value.
