Very crafty oriented book, shame, it had protential.
The text uses origami like folding to produce elements which are similar to traditional kanzashi. In saying that the text has good resources to investigate traditional techniques. I found the bookto be a good starting point, but it did not take me long to research other more traditional techniques.
Good for crafty types, not so good for artists
This book is fantastic. I LOVE it. I only wish that I hadn't bought it myself and had have received it as a gift... because I would have been elated (and I usually get rubbish). This is full of really cool things that aren't too hard to make and can be altered in various ways to suit. Great for those who are into retro fashion or just fashion in general. If you hate the designs... change them! The book is well presented with great photos. Well worth it.
