The thrilling conclusion to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy where things are unravelled and rereavelled and all sad endy. An amazing story that has travelled through an amazing and detailed world comes to an amazing conclusion. An absolute must read for any fantasy lover and anyone who enjoyed the Hobbit. Definitely do not read without the first to or you'll find yourself quickly lost.

The third book of the lord of the rings series. Frodo and sam are in Mordor and have to get to mount doom to throw the ring in but their companion Gollum has other plans for his precious!
Aragon has accepted that he will have to go to the realm of Gondor and face his fate as well as try and save his home land from the overwhealming forces that are marching through the gates of the river city!
Merry has been left behind as Pippen has gone to Gondor after his accident with the "lost seeing stone" and wants to go to war but he is a hobbit and seen as a mare child in the eyes of the men about him.
Can the former nine companions complete their tasks in their own way to save middle earth as they wanted?

5 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 13/04/2006

A ftting and epic climax to the War of the Ring...

Boromir is dead, Denethor is mad, and Gondor is not prepared for battle - and Sauron leads a huge army through Osgiliath to march on the White City.

So much depends on two little hobbits, making theire way through the foul land of Mordor.

An absolute highlight - the Witch King of Angmar facing of against Gandalf...

A superb ending to the greatest series ever written.
