Mike Smith is a Cuban-American singer songwriter, musician, and businessman. Mike is a prolific songwriter. He writes an average of six songs per day and plays twelve musical instruments. He has written and recorded with some of the biggest artists in music including RZA from Wu Tang Clan, members of Guns and Roses, members of Dave Matthews Band, the seven-time Grammy-nominated Avila Brothers, Tech N9ne, TI, Twista, Slaughterhouse, and many others. Mike stars in and is the Owner and Executive Producer of the reality competition show, One Shot, which debuts on BET in August 2016. Additionally, Mike has owned and operated numerous businesses, including an IT Company and multiple chains of medical practices. Mike was born in Philadelphia, grew up in New Jersey, and moved to North Carolina where he attended college. Mike currently lives between Charlotte, North Carolina, and Nashville, Tennessee, with his former college sweetheart, now wife, Erika Smith, and their six children.
